About Me

I’m Clarissa, a full-time working mom of two who loves to discover and share simple, easy, and family-friendly recipes. Before having kids, my husband and I considered ourselves to be big foodies. We spent our evenings trying all the newest restaurants in San Francisco and weekends trying to recreate our favorite dishes.

When we started our family, I hoped to help our kids develop adventurous palates, so as not to be stuck eating mac and cheese day in and day out (nothing wrong it, but I believe variety is important!)

What we found to work in encouraging our kids to become adventurous eaters was to constantly expose them to a wide variety of food. We introduced lots of different cuisine – from curries to sushi – very early on, with some hits and misses. If they didn’t like something, we’d try it again a few days later prepared in a new way. The more they were exposed to, the more willing they were to try new things.

That’s where this blog comes in. I plan to share the food that we’ve tried in raising our little foodies, to hopefully provide a little mealtime inspiration to other families hoping to expand their kids’ palates.
